M & E: Women should body balm because?
Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Practitioner, Chasca Summerville shares ancient wisdom to connect with our body language and create that sort after daily balance.
C: Body Balm takes skin hydration to the next level! It is a deeply nourishing ritual that not only enhances skin elasticity but also protects longevity and restores luminance. The act of applying the balm also support lymphatic drainage - enhancing detoxification; while pacifying the nervous system (known in Ayurveda as 'Vata Dosha').
M & E: Rose is a powerful ingredient; it makes me feel....
C: Divinely feminine. In this fast-paced modern world, it is easy to slip into the 'masculine' way of action and intensity. Roses remind us to slow down and (quite literally), 'smell the roses', inviting a more soft, sensual and embodied experience of life.
M & E: One thing you will take away from my book is...
C: An invitation to infuse more romance into your life through ritual, self-care, intuitive eating, crafting high-vibrational beauty products, becoming your own healer, and falling in love with the subtle language of your natural habitat.
M & E: To nurture and reset, I ...
C: Spend time barefoot on earth, bask in the morning sun, cook myself nourishing meals (especially Kitchari), indulge in a divine Ayurvedic practice known as 'Abhyanga', which is a truly decadent self-oil massage, and try to carve out as much stillness as I can - be it meditation, or time spent in silence.
M & E: Playlist, song, artist on repeat?
C: Music moves me in a way nothing else does. My taste is so varied and while I am learning to create more space for silence - I do love Indian ragas, Italian opera, African funk, jazz, the list goes on. I couldn't tell you the names of any songs from the last couple of decades, I am definitely a lover of nostalgia.
